MEET ZACK WRIGHT
Zack Wright born and raised in Austin, Texas who has been playing professional basketball in Europe for 14years. Also the founder of Euro Elite Training which is a program created to train players and implement the European style of basketball in America.
Zack was a 3 year varsity starter first attending pflugerville high school and then transferring to Killeen Ellison high school. His senior year he was co- district MVP and all regional team leading the eagles to the best record in school history with 35 wins 2 losses.
He was ranked 15th in the state of Texas in 2003.
Zack then went on to attend UALR for college. The first two season coming off the bench he won 2 conference championships. Junior year as the starting point guard, Wright led the Trojans in scoring (12.3 points per game), steals (66) and assists (164) en route to earning Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades. Wright played in 85 games and made 29 starts during his career, averaging 10.3 points per game (878 career points). He ranks sixth on UALR's all-time list for career free-throw percentage (.798), seventh in assists (282), eighth in free throws made (308) and ninth in steals (101). His 164 assists and 66 steals in 2005-06 rank fifth and sixth, respectively, on UALR's all-time single-season lists. His last year he transferred to a division 2 school UCM college. This year he would lead the team to a historical season which would get him and his teammates inducted into the hall of fame. Zack led the team in scoring, steals, minutes played. He collected the MIAA tournament MVP, First team All-Region, Elite 8 all tournament team, and was an All-American. The 2006-07 Mules basketball team finished 31-4, capturing the second MIAA championship under head coach Kim Anderson. The team won the MIAA Tournament Championship and the South Central Regional championship hosted in Warrensburg. The Mules advanced to the Final Four, winning a school-record 31 games.
Zack has been playing professional basketball in Europe for the last 14years. He has played in 9 different countries throughout his career. Germany, France, Greece, Croatia, Russia, Turkey, Slovenia and Monaco. He also acquired citizenship in Bosnia allowing him to play on their national team. His list of achievements as a pro are impressive.
